This 929-unit condominium/townhome community located in Monterey, California has been managed by Associa Northern California since 2019.
The community needed a new manager after one the board was very happy with resigned.
Associa Northern California did not initially have a manager close enough to the community to take on the available role. While the team searched for a new hire, the VP of Client Success was brought in to manage the community temporarily. She quickly built trust with the board and kept them on track while she learned the ins and outs of the community. During this time, the Associa Northern California team interviewed several candidates and found a local candidate from the property management industry. The community’s board liked the candidate but was concerned about their lack of community management experience.
In response, the Associa Northern California team agreed the VP of Client Success would remain involved to train the new manager for at least 90 days, or until the board felt comfortable with the transition. With this agreement, the branch president met with the board monthly to review the progress of the hire, who is now a beloved part of the community thanks to the preparation, training, and guidance provided by Associa Northern California.
